The Antichrist: A Prelude

Posted on 01 November 2009 by Damon Lutton

The one year anniversary of the election of Barack Obama as the 44th president of the United States is upon us. I have little doubt that reporters and bloggers around the nation and globe will take this opportunity to write and comment on his accomplishments and failures since his inauguration. As a contributor to this website, it should come as little shock that I am quite displeased and unimpressed with his performance thus far.

But I want to explore and reflect on Obama from a different perspective—the perspective of Bible prophecy and more specifically, the man of sin known as the Antichrist.

Now before you go and get your panties in a wad, I am by no means suggesting that Obama is this man. The bible is quite clear that this man will be unveiled when he confirms a covenant with Israel. Suggesting that Obama (or anyone else) is the Antichrist would be sheer conjecture on my part… And honestly, I have little concern as to who it actually is, because I have absolutely no plans on being around during his hellish reign.

I do think however, that Obama is a prequel to the Antichrist. Now let me be clear, I’m not suggesting this based on any policies held by Obama, the Democratic party, or his supporters either nationally or globally. While I vehemently disagree with 99% of these policies, I stop short of calling them Satanic. My observations are solely based on his meteoric rise to power from utter obscurity.

I’m still asking the question: Who is Barack Obama? I think it to be a fair and honest question. Outside of taking the man at his word, we have very little documented evidence as to who he is and where he came from. The evidence we do have points us in the direction that he holds socialistic ideals and principals that have been clearly demonstrated in his approach to the handling of the banking and auto industry crises. But we don’t have college records, and I suspect the reason for this is to conceal how a poor man without a scholarship affords a Harvard education and his likely benefactors. But that is beside the point.

I’m trying to demonstrate that Obama swoon the entire world with little more than oratory skill and an empty message of hope and peace. Louis Farrakhan is convinced that when Obama speaks, the messiah is absolutely speaking. School kids are coerced into singing his praises, that “all are equal in his sight”. He was awarded the Nobel, having served less than thirty days as president at the time of voting. And most scarily, Henry Kissinger is of the opinion that Obama is primed to create a “New World Order”.

Regardless of who the Antichrist is, Obama has shown us the world is ready for him [the Antichrist]. The people are hungry for someone with answers to the problems we face. I’m now convinced that this hunger is so great, whether it be genuine or perceived, people are ready for the message that the Antichrist will bring, and in him, they will place their hope, and ultimately, render unto him their souls and eternal future.

Is God slowly unsealing the Book of Daniel? One year ago I sat vexed as to how the Antichrist could rise to power in a short time and overtake the world. Now my only question is when?

Spokesperson for the black community

Posted on 31 August 2009 by Josh Cordell

633px-al_sharpton_by_david_shankboneFirst let me just say that I’m not black. I’m a 30-year old, Christian, heterosexual, white male, living in a paradise-like town in America… so I may not be allowed to talk about this subject. But I’ll go for it anyway, so here’s my question:

Who is the spokesperson for the black community?

Another question that goes along with that one is, how did Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson gain the power and influence they have? I’ve heard them called the “spokesperson of the black community” many times. I by no means came up with that title myself. In fact, I’ve never quite understood it. It raises several other questions for me. Do other communities have a spokesperson? Is there a “Latino” or “Mexican” spokesperson in the USA? I’m asking these questions because I don’t know. Another question would be “is a spokesperson necessary?” I’m not saying it isn’t, I’m just asking. Here are a few of my thoughts.

• First off, I believe we are all equal, no matter what color our skin is. Created in the image of the same God and deserving of the same God-given rights.
• Is Barack Obama automatically the spokesperson for the black community, seeing as he is all of our president?
• My favorite black politician is Alan Keyes.
• As far as dealing with social issues, I’ve always been a fan of Bill Cosby.
• I recently heard an interview with NFL Hall of Famer Jim Brown on the Jim Rome Show. He called out Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan for not being more vocal about “change.” I thought that was interesting.
• I’m curious to hear your thoughts.

Economic Stimulus!

George Bush started it and the Democrats led by Barack Obama are expanding it. I’m talking bailouts and hand-outs and economic stimulus. I hear people all the time, “Where’s my bailout?” Have I got a great idea, inspired by Washington, D.C., for “Makin’ Money” in today’s economy:
